Leader in Seals for Extreme Environments Partners with Premier Vintage Race Series
The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) announced today that TRITEC is adding their brand name to the burgeoning list of sponsors investing in the fast-growing road racing series in 2017. The company is widely recognized as the technology leader in seals, distributor gears, push rods and bearings for a broad range of industries and applications including motorsports where engine, chassis and driveline solutions are greatly valued.
“The day I realized how extensively TRITEC products are used, including with Formula One, NASCAR, NHRA and at the Indianapolis 500, they had my complete attention,” said Tony Parella, SVRA president and CEO. “You can bet they are on my race cars. I want people, especially our car owners, to realize that this announcement is part of our overarching commitment to maximize track time for racers. By expanding the use of TRITEC products, I expect to minimize time spent cleaning fluid leaks off the racing surface to keep our drivers safe.”
TRITEC touts that its technological advantage is built on its use of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) technology. This is for superior performance over conventional elastomeric seals and providing longer life seals in applications facing higher temperatures and pressures, as well as caustic environments.
“The SVRA has clearly emerged as America’s leading vintage racing organization, and we are proud to add them to the list of motorsports companies we are associated with,” said Marcus Pillion, TRITEC CEO. “While motorsports is one of our more high-profile business opportunities, this relationship also makes sense because the SVRA paddock represents so many business leaders from a diverse array of industries. We have proven products and develop custom solutions for other markets grappling with extremely harsh environments such as agriculture, mining, pumps, compressors and recreational vehicles. We can help many SVRA racers with not only their cars, but also their businesses as well.”
Johnny Unser, a five-time veteran of the Indianapolis 500 and a member of America’s most famous racing family, is a long-time advocate of TRITEC products. Unser remains active in motorsport as an IndyCar official, a technical advisor, a spokesperson for Cooper Tire, as well as a mentor to young drivers. He also understands vintage racing as a competitor in the SVRA’s 2015 and 2016 “Indy Legends” Charity Pro-Am at the Brickyard Invitational.
“At the level of the sport I have experienced, we understand the value of top-flight engineering and teamwork,” Unser said. “TRITEC’s ability to engineer custom solutions is impressive, but so are the operations behind their production process. Their flexibility to conform to their customers’ timelines and order volumes is flat out impressive. I’ve seen it.”
The TRITEC investment represents the latest in a string of premier brands to see the value of the SVRA’s demographics and the exposure of a national platform. Other top brands that recently made the decision to partner with America’s premier vintage racing organization include Jaguar, Land Rover, Zenith Watch, Robert Talbott, NetJets and Hoosier Tire.
