8. Governing Law
Any claim relating to SVRA’s website shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Race Event Entries
As a condition to entry, entrant has read the SVRA General & Supplemental Regulations and consents to their application and interpretation by SVRA Officials in their discretion and acknowledges that motor sports are dangerous and assumes all risks of participation. The applicant (including driver, car owner and crew) agrees to conform to the rules, procedures and policies of SVRA and waives any right to claim against, and covenants not to sue SVRA, its officers, directors, employees, agents or any driver’s committee with respect to the interpretation or application of any rules, procedures or policies.
All drivers must hold a valid competition license with SVRA, a Vintage Motorsport Council affiliated license or a license with a recognized sanctioning body such as SCCA, FIA, etc. with a current Medical date. Certain race cars require an SVRA-approved Super License. (see SVRA website under “Driver Information” for requirements).
Non-SVRA drivers: include a copy of current Competition License & Medical with entry. Entrants that do not hold a Vintage Racing License or who have not competed in an Vintage Event are REQUIRED to participate in the SVRA Driver Orientation Program. (see DOP Information under “Driver Information” at www.svra.com).
There are no refunds for event cancellations. Cancellations prior to an event will be issued a credit to be used for future events during the remaining race season or the race season of the following year. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event date will only be issued 50% credit. Credits from event cancellations can only be applied toward future Race Events (i.e. Entry Fees, Sprint Races, Enduros, Test Days, and Orientation Programs). Credits cannot be applied toward non-event items, including but not limited to Garage Rentals, EPP, Insurance Policies, Licensing, Ticket Sales, Merchandise, Subscriptions, or other product offerings. Credits are not transferable.
Entry Protection Program (EPP)
If The Entry Protection Program (EPP) has been purchased and paid in full prior to an event, the participant is eligible to receive a full refund of the entry fee if precipitation accumulation at the event venue is at least one inch between 8am and 5pm on Saturday or at least one inch between 8am and 5pm on Sunday during the weekend of the event. Precipitation levels are determined by the official U.S. Weather Bureau. This refund is available even if the races are conducted and the protected competitor does not withdraw. The entry fee will be fully refunded. Additional event options (Enduros, Test Days, Garage Rentals, etc.) are not refunded. The EPP fee is not refunded. Each EPP purchase is valid to one driver and one car.
- Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.
- We will collect and use of personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.
- We will only retain personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of those purposes.
- We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with the knowledge or consent of the individual concerned.
- Personal data should be relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, should be accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
- We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.
- We will make readily available to customers information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.
