David Whiteside | Deceased 2001
An excellent driver, a respected Lotus car collector and a student of racing history, David believed in celebrating and preserving history. He enjoyed the social and organizational side SVRA and often played hilarious pranks in the paddock.
David brought a rate spark of wit, intelligence, organizational skill, and enthusiasm to the formative years and was one of SVRA’s staunchest supporters. He first raced with SVRA in 1978 and almost never missed an event. David was killed in a road car accident in 2001.
