2018 Road Atlanta Grand Prix
SVRA is happy to have the opportunity to race at Road Atlanta. After a couple of weather related derailments, the SVRA Road Atlanta Grand Prix is on the schedule. This March 29-31 event is on Easter weekend, so racing activities will be are scheduled Thursday through Saturday. There is no track time scheduled on Easter Sunday.
A full slate of vintage race groups will take to the track starting on Thursday. The Trans Am Series, IGT and the second round of Mazda Miata Heritage Cup share the holiday weekend. Saturday the Hagerty Show and Shine Car Show will bring out a number of classic, performance and exotic automobiles.
Road Atlanta is touted as one of the world’s best road courses in the US and offers a world class 2.54-mile, 12-turn road course. The unique combination of fast sweeping corners, quick esses, off-camber turns, elevation changes and high-speed straights has created some of North America’s most famous racing moments.
