GLENORA BECOMES SVRA’S OFFICIAL SPARKLING WINE

Winners To Spray Glenora Wine Cellars Brut Sparkling Wine From SVRA Podiums

SOUTHLAKE, Tex. (March 21, 2019) – Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) today announced that Glenora Wine Cellars has become the “official sparkling wine” of SVRA.  The first winery on the shore of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York, the widely acclaimed wine cellar and inn are nestled in a bucolic setting within shouting distance of the world-famous and historic Watkins Glen International Speedway and has a longstanding tradition of producing high-quality sparkling wines.

“This relationship is a perfect fit,” said SVRA CEO Tony Parella. “Glenora is a cornerstone of Finger Lakes wine country. They appreciate quality and fine vintage in their culture just as we do.  I can’t wait to see the shower of Glenora sparkling wine from our race podiums.”

The agreement meshes well with the emphasis of a discerning taste for outstanding quality that SVRA’s demographic demands. All SVRA winners will not only spray the bubbly but also receive bottles as a part of their award recognition. Fans can expect to see Glenora Wine Cellars displays at SVRA race weekends.

Glenora joins a long list of top-brand companies sponsoring SVRA. Others include Jaguar, Land Rover, Merrill Lynch, Avis, NetJets, Sunoco, and Mazda. SVRA’s nationwide platform is at the heart of the organization’s growth strategy. It is combined with the significant participation of legendary professional drivers and leveraging the high net worth demographic in the paddock for sponsorship attraction. This provides three pillars for business expansion. Company officials report consistent annual triple-digit growth since 2012.

A pioneer in the renaissance of the Finger Lakes wine industry, Glenora Wine Cellars has been producing award-winning wines for over 40 years. In 1977 Glenora Wine Cellars was the first winery to open on Seneca Lake in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country. Today, in addition to the winery and tasting room, the beautifully-groomed 40-acre estate offers the Inn at Glenora Wine Cellars, with 30 rooms overlooking the vineyards and Seneca Lake, and Veraisons Restaurant, offering gourmet, locally-sourced dishes.
