A Letter From Larry Neviaser

October 1, 2013

To All My SVRA Friends,

When people ask me what vintage racing is all about, I usually tell them about the cars, the history, the drivers and the competition. But then, I tell them about the extraordinary community of vintage racers and the special relationship we all
enjoy both on and off the track. This couldn’t have been more evident to me than over the last several months since my accident at Watkins Glen in June.

I am overwhelmed by the expressions of support and concern shown me by the SVRA staff, my fellow competitors and crew members. I can tell you that all of your emails, cards, and phone calls hastened my recovery and simply made me feel terrific. Last weekend, Brian Rechtiene, my friend and business partner at Vintage Racing Services, was kind enough to fly me to VIR so that I could see my racing friends and let them know that I was back on my feet and on the mend. It was great to be back at the track and the warm welcome I received from everyone was wonderful and something I will never forget. Thank you all for your good wishes and I look forward to seeing everyone next racing season.
