Dear Gold Cup Attendees:
While you’re at the Heacock Classic Gold Cup, I’d like to encourage you to attend two special social events that we have planned as part of our weekend at VIR.
On Friday evening, starting at 6 PM, the Heacock Classic Welcome Party will feature the Southern Rock sounds of the North Carolina band, Low Down South. Beer, wine, soft drinks, and light snacks will be served. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes and rock out, or just catch up with old friends and make some new ones.
On Saturday evening SVRA will host VIR’s traditional Black & White dinner along with our annual Year End Awards presentations. The event will begin at 7 PM and all drivers and crew are invited. For men, tuxedo’s, suits, sport jackets, and ties are not required, just come dressed in Black and White. Women should dress in Black & White resort casual attire. To add a “special feel” to this year’s event we are starting a new tradition by encouraging women to wear Kentucky Derby style hats. There will be a contest for best hats with some fun awards to the winners. So, ladies, please go all out and show up wearing your finest hats!
