American Global Standards Joins SVRA Roster of Sponsors

Industry Leader Named “Official ISO9001 Quality System Certification Company of SVRA”

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) announced today that American Global Standards (AGS), a leading registrar of quality and environmental management systems to ISO 9000/ISO 14000 series requirements, has joined the fold of best-in-class companies sponsoring SVRA. AGS is now the Official ISO9001 Quality System Certification Company of SVRA. The company provides independent, third-party assessments of management systems for all industries.

“I am very enthusiastic about investment relationships like this because they are so strategic,” said Tony Parella, SVRA president and CEO. “AGS already has customers among our race team owners. Our paddock is chock-full of high net worth individuals and a good percentage of them are business owners and executives with customer sets requiring ISO certification of their vendors. AGS makes it efficient and profitable for them to meet those requirements.”

AGS brings top expertise in meeting the all-important requirements of ISO90001:2015 Quality System Certification which for many companies is an essential qualification for a vendor to do business with their firms. Not only do customers demand that quality assurance from the manufacturers and service companies they do business with, but also going through the process is consistent with management best practice. Certified businesses realize significant cost savings by removing time-consuming review burdens from top management, organizing and improving the efficiency of their processes, and engraining a systemic continuous improvement culture.

“As a vintage racer myself, I fully appreciate the robust business-to-business environment Tony has created in the SVRA paddock,” said Stephen S. Keneally, AGS president. “Racers are inherently competitive people always looking for an edge. That’s what we provide our clients at AGS when we not only ensure they can meet the fundamental requirements of their customers for doing business with them, but also identify opportunities to continuously improve the efficiencies of their operations. We at AGS operate with the clear purpose of helping companies excel. ”

The announcement extends a string of SVRA sponsorship agreements over the past year. Other top-brand partners to extend their contracts or join the list of investors include Jaguar, Land Rover, Capital One Spark Business, NetJets, Mazda, Zenith Watch, Robert Talbott, Hoosier Tire, TRITEC, Safecraft and National App. SVRA’s success in attracting sponsorship investors is a cornerstone to the company’s impressive momentum. Company officials report consistent annual triple-digit growth since 2012.

SVRA has rapidly expanded from a regional series largely concentrated in the southeastern United States to one that spans the continent at most of America’s top race courses. This year it increased its schedule to include its first hill climb near the legendary “Tail of the Dragon” roadway in Western North Carolina and most recently announced that they will bring America’s premier vintage racing to Road Atlanta in 2018.
