American Medical Response, Inc. Becomes An Official SVRA Sponsor

AMR Is Now The “Official Medical Support Company of SVRA”

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) announced today that American Medical Response (AMR) has been named the “Official Medical Support Company of SVRA.” AMR is the leading medical transportation company in the United States.

AMR is also the official Emergency Medical Services Partner for NASCAR working collaboratively with track physicians, infield care center staff and regional health systems to enhance emergency response capability.

In its relationship with SVRA, AMR will primarily have a consulting role. They will evaluate all SVRA procedures for medical support to ensure the safety and health of competitors as well as event attendees.

“AMR has the experts. Safety and care for our vintage racers is the top priority for SVRA,” said Tony Parella, SVRA president and CEO. “AMR is one of the largest first responder organizations in America. Additionally, they have a non-profit foundation that supports first responders in times of need, and SVRA will partner with them on fundraising programs. Vintage racers share AMR’s passion for supporting first responders and we all admire their commitment to service.“

“SVRA events present a dynamic and exciting environment to showcase our capabilities,” said Randy Strozyk, Executive Vice President of AMR Operations. “It is essential that motorsports events have a top medical response team in place who is available to drivers, crews, and anyone on the grounds. We are proud of the confidence SVRA is showing in AMR and our commitment to safety.”

The announcement builds on the impressive string of SVRA sponsorship agreements over the past year. Just this month, Merrill Lynch joined SVRA’s roster of sponsors as the “Official Wealth Management Company of SVRA.” Other top-brand SVRA investors include Jaguar, Land Rover, NetJets, Mazda, Sunoco, Bell Helmet, Capital One, and Hagerty Classic Car Insurance. SVRA’s success in attracting sponsorship is a cornerstone to the company’s impressive momentum. Company officials report consistent annual triple-digit growth since 2012. SVRA has rapidly expanded from a regional series largely concentrated in the southeastern United States to one that spans the continent at most of America’s top race courses.

AMR’s national reach and extensive experience enable them to deliver a wide range of services. As the nation’s leading medical transportation company, AMR serves more communities than any other private ambulance service provider in the nation. AMR’s 30,000+ paramedics, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), nurses, doctors and support staff provide services to 2,100 communities in 42 states and the District of Columbia.

“While we are among the very safest forms of motorsport, we can never get complacent in ensuring that we have the best in medical care and transport immediately available should our competitors, or anyone in the SVRA paddock need help,” added Parella. “I am confident we have that with AMR.”
