Maker of Impeccable Garments of Classic Style Deemed “Perfect Brand Fit”
Robert Talbott, referred to by Fortune Magazine as “an iconic menswear brand” today announced it has joined with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA), America’s premier vintage racing organization, as their official gentleman’s apparel line. The Monterey, California-based garment maker will soon become highly visible among the membership and fans of the SVRA series through several initiatives such as providing an exclusive champion’s jacket for the top performing drivers of the year.
“Robert Talbott is a perfect brand fit with the SVRA,” said SVRA President and CEO Tony Parella. “Robert Talbott prides itself on a dedication to quality, craftsmanship and classic styling. People who appreciate vintage racing understand those quality values. Robert Talbott finds inspiration in Italian styling, and, again, that rings true with our members.”
Robert Talbott’s heightened visibility through supporting the SVRA’s unprecedented growth of vintage racing builds on an established presence in motorsports and among car enthusiasts. Bob Corliss, the company’s President and CEO, is a lifelong racing enthusiast and has even gotten behind the wheel of a Swift 014 Formula Atlantic racer in national SCCA competition for Robert Talbott Motorsports. In 2013 the company designed custom, one-of-a-kind neckwear for the sponsors of the revered Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance.
“Racing is like business, it requires a complete commitment physically, emotionally and mentally,” said Corliss. “The members and followers of SVRA are people of discerning taste who share our appreciation of quality, style and a commitment to a meticulous process in meeting the highest standards.”
Robert Talbott now joins other luxury brands commanding worldwide respect such as Jaguar, Land Rover and Zenith timepieces in helping the SVRA create America’s first national platform for vintage racing with a series of events at the majority of the greatest road racing courses across the country. The platform includes America’s only Formula One venue, the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), where it stages its National Championships. Other breakthroughs include the Indy Legends Charity Pro-Am at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with 33 Indy 500 veterans as well as hosting other series such as professional Trans Am during race weekends. Last year’s strategic agreement to join forces with International GT Cup and their exotic European sports cars such as Porsche and Ferrari at select races is yet another example of the SVRA’s efforts to enhance its product and deliver value for everyone in the racing community.
