Calendar Features 18 Events at Many of America’s Most Historic Road Courses
CHARLOTTE (September 17, 2024) – Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) has announced its 2025 schedule featuring a variety of classic favorites and new venues, while continuing to maintain a nationwide footprint for one of America’s oldest and largest vintage racing organizations. Visiting some of the most iconic racetracks, SVRA will hold 18 events spanning the United States.
“We’re proud to announce our 2025 schedule,” said Michael Printup, President of SVRA. “SVRA is the largest vintage racing association in North America, so we have all four corners of the country covered with opportunities for our competitors to come out and race. We’re also thrilled to offer a driver school, improving the access to license opportunities and reducing the barriers of entry for new racers. Having a schedule this robust would not be possible without our competitors, track partners, fans and sponsors—our entire team is thankful to each and every one of them.”
As has been tradition, the 2025 SVRA season will kick off with one of the biggest events of the year—the Sebring SpeedTour. Scheduled for February 20-23, racers will descend on central Florida for a weekend filled with racing, camaraderie and fun. The weekend will incorporate several social events, as the paddock comes together to celebrate the previous season’s champions during SVRA’s awards banquet. Sponsors and business partners will gather for a day of learning, networking and brainstorming during the Parella Motorsports Holdings (PMH) Partners Forum.
After a short break, SVRA will kick off a three-in-a-row run, as the series makes the westward trek from Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, to NOLA Motorsports Park, to Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, Texas. In addition to a traditional SVRA weekend filled with vintage sprint and endurance races, the NOLA SpeedTour will feature a three-day comprehensive drivers’ school, focused on driver development, car handling and safe racing. With classroom instruction and multiple on-track sessions, the school will culminate with a full feature race, followed by the presentation of SVRA racing licenses to successful graduates.
The next three events will see some of America’s most renowned tracks, with a West Coast swing that offers competitors back-to-back weekends at Sonoma Raceway and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, followed by a trip to Wisconsin’s Road America.
As the summer heats up, so will the action. June will kick off at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, followed by back-to-back weekends at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course. July’s action will span from coast to coast with stops at both Connecticut’s Lime Rock Park and Oregon’s Portland International Raceway. From there, SVRA competitors in the Mid-Atlantic region will have a chance to race at New Jersey Motorsports Park and Summit Point.
In September, SVRA will return to Watkins Glen International during its traditional date. The weekend will celebrate the racing heritage of the Village of Watkins Glen, once again incorporating a reenactment on the original course through the village’s streets. A few weeks later, the action moves south as SVRA returns to VIRginia International Raceway. With the season winding down, SVRA will make one last stop on the West Coast, competing at Thunderhill Raceway Park.
For its penultimate race of the year, SVRA will hold its inaugural event at the picturesque Barber Motorsports Park. A short two weeks later, the series will return to Circuit of The Americas to close out its 2025 season with the U.S. Vintage Racing National Championship weekend. The event will both culminate in the crowning of the 2025 champions, as well as the awarding of the coveted Bell Racing Championship Gold Helmets—a tradition held since 2013.
