SVRA CANCELS SAVANNAH SPEED CLASSIC

Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival Also Canceled

Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) regrets to announce that its October 22 – 25 Savannah Speed Classic, ran in association with the Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance and Motoring Festival is canceled for 2020. Hilton Head officials also announced the cancelation of their October 22 – 29 celebration.

“After consulting with the organizers in Hilton Head we recognized that bringing racers to Savannah would not be feasible,” said SVRA President and CEO Tony Parella. “COVID-19 has turned the world on its head and we respect the decision of our event partners.”

Hilton Head Concours d’Elegance and Motoring Festival Chairman Merry Harlacher and President Lindsey Harrell issued a joint statement announcing the cancellation and encouraged all participants to plan ahead for their October 29 – 7, 2021 event.

The remainder of race weekends on the SVRA 2020 schedule remain intact, beginning with the June 18 – 21 Road America Vintage Festival.
