From: Ed Swart, Competition Director, SVRA West | Ray Snowdon, Competition Director, SVRA East
Date: January 8, 2013
As a result of inquiries regarding rules and groupings for the SVRA 2013 Season, we would like to clarify the groupings, classifications and rules that events will operate under.
SVRA-West will continue to operate and conduct West coast events under its current rule structure, as it has while known as “HSR West”. SVRA-West will not adopt the classification and rule structure of SVRA-East for the 2013 race season. SVRA-West group, classifications and rules can be found on the West coast website at: www.hsrwestrace.com.
It is important that all West coast members and drivers have ample time to examine the group, classes and rule structure of SVRA East that may be adopted for SVRA West and East in 2014. It was felt that an immediate change-over would result in undo hardship for the West coast competitor.
SVRA-East will continue to operate and conduct East coast events under its current rule structure that is still undergoing some revisions and updating. The National Championship event will be conducted under the SVRA-East group, class and rule structure. SVRA-West participants would be placed into the proper group and class under the guidance of the Technical and Competition Directors of SVRA-West and SVRA-East.
SVRA-East group, classifications and rules can be found on the SVRA-East website at: www.svra.com
