Kent S. Bain – Stratford, CT
Kent graduated with a B.E. in Industrial Design circa 1972 and worked as a product designer while racing in an Austin Healy. Cars were his passion and he restored cars for friends in his spare time. In 1978, he opened Automotive Restorations, Inc., then Vintage Racing Services, Inc. in 1983. Kent began vintage racing in 1981 and remains active with cars and clubs where he can be found on the podium from time to time.
Honors include SVRA “Mechanic of the Year” in 1994 and SVRA” Driver of the Year” in 1999, now “flying” at Lime Rock and other vintage events in his 914/6.
